SB 75: Senate Bill 75 - Full Scope Medi-Cal for All Children
On June 24, 2015, Governor Brown signed Senate Bill (SB) 75, into law which expands full-scope Medi-Cal eligibility to all children in California who are under 19 years of age, regardless of their immigration status, as long as they meet the income standards.
Who is Eligible?
All children under 19 years of age who are eligible for Medi-Cal even if they are unable to establish satisfactory immigration status are now eligible for full-scope benefits.
How do I enroll?

You can enroll in-person by making appointment with one of ours Certified Application Assistants

At your local County Social Services Office,

Online with Covered California, or
-
By mail with the Medi-Cal Single Streamlined Application provided in English and other languages.
Benefits

Your child gets medical care, vision exams, dental care, substance abuse treatment, and mental health services that are available under Medi-Cal.

Your child will be provided a Medi-Cal card (called a Benefits identification Card or BIC).

Your child will receive full-scope benefits that are NOT restricted to emergency-only services.

Good news Californians!
Governor Brown signed into law a bill that limits the state's Medi-Cal Estate Recovery program.
This new law prohibits recovery from the estate of a deceased Medi-Cal recipient, and prohibits estate recovery if the property is of modest value!

El Governador Brown aprovó la ley que pone lÃmites a la cantidad a recuperar por medio del programa de recuperación de fondos de herencia a personas que recibieron servicios de Medi-Cal y prohÃbe la recuperación total si la vivienda es considerada de un valor modesto.
