OCAPICA's Policy Program creates phone banking events to collect voter data and inspire people to vote.

Does helping to empower and mobilize Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) voters in Orange County sound interting to you?

Then sign up today to become a volunteer!

Why?

Calling voters allows them to ask questions about the voting process.

By providing bilingual and culturally competent voting services, we can increase voter turnout.

By being informed voters, the AANHPI community will be empowered voters.

Get paid! Receive a $60 stipend after the 3rd shift and $10 for each shift after. A meal is also provided.
How?

Must attend a training session that happens right before the event.

Must be able to travel to the OCAPICA Office in Buena Park.

Bilingual ability in English and Cantonese, Mandarine, Tagalog, or Vietnamese preferred.

Sign up for shifts that fit your schedule. Shifts are Mondays and Wednesdays (5:00pm-8:30pm) between September 26th-November 27th.

Ruby Ramirez: "Enlightening because I realized how few people are actually engaged in politics. As a non-profit organization we are trying to encourage those who have the right to vote to vote. Some didn't know about the primary. We called morning, afternoon, and evening."
